There's more to it than what you see through the camera lens. With Mike and George, ideas begin percolating at the first meeting and don't stop surfacing until they deliver the final product. They started Three Chairs on the simple idea that nothing comes before creative excellence and they hope it shows in their work.
I was born in the Bronx and spent most of my formidable years growing up surrounded by enough concrete to probably circle the globe 100 times. Well maybe not that much. As a teenager I attended the High School of Art and Design and studied commercial art. After graduation I attended Pratt with the dreams of becoming an Art Director. Still unsure of my own future, I decided to put it all behind me and I ran away with the circus, also know as the U.S. Army. I served our great country for seven eye opening years in Germany as a Forward Observer with the 3rd Infantry Division. To this day I still know the words to our Division song, "Dog Face Soldier". Trust me, not an easy song to forget.
When it came time for me to return stateside, I chose Tampa, Florida as my next stop and restarted my advertising career. I figured there was an equal number of New Yorkers living here, so why not! Eventually I decided it was time for me to be my own boss, and I went on to open some of Tampa's most creative advertising agencies and multicultural firms. I've enjoyed helping clients enhance their brand's experience for everyone; Well that's my elevator speech anyway.
I've been fortunate to have been recognized with national creative awards, and while accolades are great, it doesn't beat being a father to three beautiful children.
In a nutshell, I'm a father, painter, diver, traveller, juggler, amateur chef and avid storyteller.
Before Co-founding Three Chairs with George, I was a communications/ media production graduate from Michigan State University. As a Senior at MSU I was able to get my first producing experience with Red Bull Energy Drink, producing their “Lawn Shorts” student film festival. I produced the festival and along with 5 other students, I won the chance to produce a film within the festival. That was it for me, I knew what my calling was. After a season bartending on Mackinac Island (my favorite place on Earth) I left my MI home base in 2001 to start a multimedia career in Tampa FL.
While my love for video and film making started in college, over time, I have developed a passion for the world of advertising. I'm one of those people that judge every spot, billboard or pub ad I see. Always asking the question if I could do better or what I would have done differently. Above all, I mostly enjoy meeting new people, connecting dots and helping companies of all shapes and sizes navigate through the multimedia spectrum.
As a Husband to a native Michigander, a Father of Twin Boys, 2 cats and a dog, I am always on the go. If I'm not out networking, in the studio or in the edit suite, you can best believe I am chasing down my boys or changing a diaper.
